[PROJECT/ROLE]: Linguist for Australian English Language
TELUS International is looking for Linguists for our data collection project. We need someone who is an expert in linguistics and can help us to understand the nuances of language.
Task description: The role involves crafting short conversations on diverse topics, generating acronyms, and compiling lists of well-known places, people, and locations. Linguistic expertise, encompassing knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and lexicon, is essential.
Requirements:
Must be a native Australian English speaker.
Currently located in Western Australia
Completed BA/MA Degree in Linguistics.
Familiarity with local languages and native specialties.
Ability to contribute to creative content creation, localization.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.
Ability to work independently and flexibility to new techniques/processes.
You must own and use a desktop/laptop to complete tasks.
Access to and use of a broadband internet connection to perform the work, all provided at your own expense.
Additional Information:
Location: Western, Australia
Workload: 4-5 hours daily, 20-25 hours per week.
Schedule: Between 9:00 - 19:00 IST
Work Duration: 3 months
Compensation: 30USD/h
