Description

We are seeking a Remote DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with our IT team to design, implement, and monitor database systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, monitor, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and optimizations as needed.
Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Monitor database backups, disaster recovery, and replication processes.
Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with database design, implementation, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with database security protocols and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
